Chat Analyzer never uploads your chat.
Effective date: 2026-09-22. Chat Analyzer reads a WhatsApp chat export you choose and analyzes it on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence. The chat text is not kept after the score is saved.
What Chat Analyzer stores on your device
- The export, in memory only, while a score is being built. The chat text is not saved.
- After that, the names, the question, your guess, and the score.
- Custom scenarios you write yourself.
No account, no backend
There is no sign-in and no server of ours. The chat text is processed by Apple Intelligence on the device and is not sent to us or to any third-party AI service.
Files access
The app only reads the file you pick in the Files picker or share to it from WhatsApp. It does not browse your files, photos or contacts.
Analytics and logging
Release builds use PostHog to understand how the app is used. Events cover app opens, an analysis starting, the first saved score, opening a situation or a saved score, and the rating prompt, plus the app version and an anonymous device identifier. Screen contents are not captured. We never send the chat, the names, your question, or the verdict text. PostHog processes this on servers in the United States. We do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Debug builds and UI tests do not send these events.
Deleting your data
Delete an analysis from the record, or delete the app: everything it stored goes with it.
