Getting started

Fasting AI calculates a personalized fasting window based on what you eat. Log a meal to start a fasting session — the app factors in calories, glycemic load, meal composition, your body metrics, and daily steps to suggest the right time before your next meal.

How do I log a meal?

Tap Log Food on the home screen. You can search from 500+ foods, adjust portion sizes, and choose a meal type. Premium users can also snap a photo and let AI identify the meal automatically.

How does AI food analysis work?

Tap AI Food Analysis on the home screen or inside the food log sheet. The app resizes and compresses your photo on-device, then sends it to Google's Gemini API for a one-time nutrition estimate. The result is logged directly into your food diary. This feature requires a Premium subscription.

How do I stop or reset a fasting session?

When a fasting session is active, a Stop button appears in the top right corner of the home screen. Tap it to complete the session early and record it in your history. To cancel a session without saving it, tap the reset () button inside the timer card.

Why does the timer length change?

The fasting window is dynamic. It shortens as you walk more steps or log exercise because physical activity accelerates calorie burn. Step and activity reduction badges appear on the timer card when your fasting window has been shortened.

How do I connect Apple Health?

Go to Settings → Health inside the app and tap Enable. Fasting AI requests read-only access to your step count. It does not write any data to Apple Health.

Subscription & billing

Fasting AI Premium is an auto-renewing subscription available in yearly and monthly plans. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in App Store → Account → Subscriptions.

To restore a previous purchase, open the app, tap the premium upgrade button, and tap Restore at the bottom of the paywall screen.
